Braunton workhub plans are revealed

The Braunton Police Station building has been bought by the parish council.

Braunton Parish Council has secured £19,382 from Devon County Council to turn part of the village police station into a work hub.
In a deal that will see police remain in the building, the council will also provide four offices for long term tenants plus six ‘hot desks’ that can be hired on a weekly rate.
There will also be a meeting room, Wifi, laser printing facilities, kitchen, plus lockers, cycle storage, toilets and showers.
It will be possible for tenants to access the hub 24 hours a day.
The chairman of the council’s property committee, Liz Spear said: “I am delighted the council has been successful in achieving substantial funding for the Braunton Community Work Hub.
“A huge considerable amount of consultation and planning has gone into making this successful bid. Congratulations and thanks to all those who helped to bring this about, not least our parish clerk, Tracey Lovell.”
