Living Wage Coworking

Some years ago we decided to sign up to the Living Wage Foundation as a real living wage employer. Our members who have staff are expected to pay at least the current real living wage. We went one step further too and became an authorised Living Wage Building. You can do this cheaply by helping to promote fair pay in your town or city neighbourhood. You will be committing to not only being a living wage employer (including paying contractors eg cleaners at least the real living wage). You will be expected to have your members do so too or at least agree to go that way.

LIVING WAGE BUILDING: Delighted to get our accreditation from the Living Wage Foundation as Penzance’s first ‘Living Wage Building’. All our member businesses pay their staff and contractors the real living wage (£9.30 an hour) or more. We will be using the Workbox for meetings to explore how Penzance can become a recognised ‘Living Wage Town’ (which promotes a growing take up of the living wage). Find out more at the Fair Pay Penzance page!
